GNSI Conference @ Santa Cruz

July 3, 2016

I joined for the first time in Guild of Natural Science illustrators Conference @ Santa Cruz, California (http://2016.conf.gnsi.org/).  The talks, meetings, workshops, and events were all fantastic!

The contents were awesome, but more than that, it was so greateful to get connected to other scientific illustrators, scientists, and any other people who are interested in both science and art.

I could meet UCSC mascot, a banana slug at the UCSC campus!

Left: Taina Litwak; my previous supervisor of Smithsonian Inst./USDA. Right: Daisy Chang; Scientific illustrator of National Geographic. We did a preparation for the GNSI Collaborative Chalk Mural Project ( http://2016.conf.gnsi.org/exhibits/community-art ).

GNSI Annual Juried Members' Exhibition. My Smithsonian Elephant and Bird of Report poster were selected.
