Happy World Oceans Day!

Sometimes I crave for a large scale painting when I focus too much on small stipple drawings. So I painted Coelacanth on a wooden board at home for no reason but I felt so good! This creature is so mysterious. I almost put this Coelacanth into my PaleoArt section.

Jun 8th is World Oceans day! There are many events going on this week at Ocean Hall at Smithsonian National Museum of National History. I got connected to ichthyologists in the Division of Fishes in Smithsonian and will do some fish illustration for them in my extra time while working for the Division of Birds. Trying to expand my subjects of scientific illustration before leaving here ;)
