While doing an assistant for Jane, I had a chance to visit the Smithsonian Institution Natural Museum of Natural History at Washington D.C. (she had a talk for the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators Meeting.) The Museum was so inspiring and I immediately started painting the Smithsonian Elephant on the large board after coming back from D.C. and finished it in 4 days. Apparently, this technique was acquired by doing an assistant of Jane's mural art. I am getting to like large scale painting!
